چکیده
the problem of removing pollutants from water is an important process and is becoming moreimportant with the increasing of industrial activities. one of the most important environmental problems iswater resources pollution by heavy metals. bioabsorbtion is affordable adsorbents for the removal of heavymetals from aqueous solutions. this study explores the adsorption potential of cr (vi), cd (ii) and ni (ii) by elaeagnus angustifolia fruit powder in aqueous solution. the influences of several main parameters such as ph value of solution, sorbent amount, initial metal ion concentration, and contact time in batch experiments have been studied. the adsorption was depended on ph, adsorbent dosage, and contact time. maximum removal of cr (vi), cd (ii) and ni (ii) were obtained 7.19mg/g, 2.42 mg/g and 1.97 mg/g respectively. adsorption isotherms were compared with both langmuir and freundlich adsorption models. the experimental data best fit with the langmuir isotherm model. experimental results show natural biosorbent was effective for the removal of pollutants from aqueous solution.

Jute modified has been used for adsorption of Cr (VI), Cd (II) and Pb (II) ions over a range ofinitial metal ion concentration. Adsorption process is done in batch mode. Adsorption isotherms ofthe heavy metals on adsorbents prepared were determined and correlated with common isothermequations. It was found that the Freundlich isotherm is better than Langmuir for explaining thebehavior of adsorp...

متن کاملRemoval of Heavy Metals from Aqueous Solution by Mordenite Nanocrystals
This study examined the ability of the synthetic mordenite nanocrystal to remove Tl(III) and As(III) from an aqueous solution. The determination of the concentration changes of H+ and OH- quantities in the acidic (pH 3) and alkali (pH 9) treated mordenite nanocrystals were done by the potentiometric titration curves. The maximum uptake capacities (Qmax) of these metal ions using the mordenite i...
متن کاملRemoval of As(V), Cr(VI) and Pb(II) from aqueous solution using surfactant-modified Sabzevar nanozeolite
The pollution of water environments is a challenging issue especially in developing countries. Contamination of drinking water with heavy metals has been reported in many parts of the world. Arsenic, chromium and lead are dangerous heavy metals and also common contaminants of drinking water. In this study, the capacity and performance of the surfactant-modified Sabzevar natural nanozeolite (SMS...
متن کاملRemoval of Hg(II) and Cd(II) Ions from Aqueous Solution Using Chitosan: Kinetics and Equilibrium Studies
Background and purpose: The discharge of toxic heavy metal ions into the environment is a serious pollution problem. Heavy metal ions pose adverse toxic risks to human health at very low concentrations. The aim of this paper is the adsorption potential of chitosan (CS) in the removal of Hg(II) and Cd(II) ions from aqueous solution. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted in laboratory s...
